Not too much shopping this Sunday

It's gonna be a slow week. I did make it to Wags today. I bought 1 intuition razor, 1 tube of Colgate toothpaste, 2 right guard deod. and 2 dentyne. This deal wasn't very good at all. I hadn't re-checked my fav. blogs today, so I didn't realize we can get FREE Purex laundry detergent this week. It's BOGo this week and paired with the recent BOGO coupon for Purex liquid detergent, we can get 2 for free. I'm a dummy. I have already clipped all my Qs and just hope I can grab some tomorrow.

Some Target and Walmart Deals

Darlin Dan and I went to Super T and Walmart today.
Walmart-
We picked up 2 pks of the Land o Frost sandwich meat- $3 - $2 internet coupons =$1 for 1 pound of lunch meat. We had a snag. The cashier said "the coupon says 1 coupon per purchase". So I responded, "that's fine, take 1 pack off and my darlin will buy it". I got a nice glare from the cashier and my darlin added-we're not married we just have s.......... I couldn't believe he said that! Anyway, we got our 2 lbs. of lunch meat for a total of $2 and got out of there. It never fails that something happems with my coupons at Walmart. I'm just happy they took my internet printable coupon.

SUPER T-
We picked up 3 pks. of the $1.99 a lb. chuck steak and used $1 off coupon per pk. Each pk. was about $2 before Q. We got 2 Kraft grated cheddar cheese with the Target coupon and a man. coupon! We also got 1 Fage yogurt with the $1 internet coupon and 2 lbs. of bananas with a $ .50 Target catalina. We actually bought some ice cream and unsalted butter without coupons!. Our total was about $11 on my Target GC. The receipt said we saved $14.

Wii games at Big Lots

I visited Big Lots yesterday and found Samba de Amigo for $10. I thought that was a good deal. We had been wanting that game and so I decided to pick it up. They had several Wii games available.

Heard the CVS wipe deal is dead

Wow. The deal is dead. At least I got 4 BIG bags.

Look at my Daisies

Look at what I splurged on. I got a 'skin' for my Dell mini computer. A friend at school had mentioned that she got a skin for her mini and loved it, so I went surfin the net and found exactly what I wanted for the top of my computer. ( Isn't it purty?) I paid way too much for a sticker to put on top of my computer! I don't care. I will enjoy the heck out of it. I LOVE daisies. Always have and always will.

My trip to CVS

I finally got to CVS today. I got what I wanted minus the toothbrushes. I wasn't too thrilled about how that was all going to work. These BIG bags of wipies are on sale for 2/$5! (No EBs back, just a great price.) The tuna is on sale for $ .49 and I got 10 because I was able to print off 2 $1 for 5 cans. The Soft soap is on sale for $ .88 and these are the 8.5 oz size, so I could use the $ .35 man. coupon! The toothpaste, deodorant, and eye shadow are EB deals. I did spent $8 OOP today (WOW-not really my style)...........but I think 10 cans of tuna for $2.90 is great as is the $10 for 4 BIG bags of wipes and I didn't want to burn all my EBs, so I had to spent some dinero.

So all together I got $8 in RRs back. (I burned $2 in RRs, but I got a large bottle of Listerine with it!) {{Now, if I had bought the Goodies at $2.99, my OOP would've been up to about $2. I was thinking this same deal would work with the $2.99 Goodies, if you used the $2 internet printable coupon for the exedrin! }}

This week at the Casa

I'm gonna try a menu! I think if we can get used to this, Darlin Dan will start dinner and I can finish/help when I get home.

Sunday Shopping at Walgreen's

The deals are few and far between this week....

I managed to do the candy deal this week and the Exedrin menstrual relieve deal. I picked up some cheap Trident Layers gum.

The candy is 4/$10 use 4 $1 man. coupons and get $5RR back- pay $1 for 4 bags of candy.

The exedrin is $2.50 this week. I used the $ .75 man. coupon and got $2 RR

The trident gum is $ .99 and use $ .75 man coup for $ .24 a pack.

The peroxide is $ .33 a bottle and the big roll is $ .50 this week. (Some good fillers)

I'm reading books on my Blackberry!

I was reading Common sense with money today and it said I could download the kindle for my Blackberry for free from Amazon. This is GREAT. I'm now reading a book on my phone for free.

Slow shopping week............New project for the cruisin couple

Since this is a slow shopping week, I thought I would share our latest project. We are doing a room makeover. We have 1 downstairs bedroom that my oldest daughter had been living in until she moved out a couple of months ago. We decided to make it our guest bedroom since my stockpile/convenience store has taken over our upstairs guestroom! We are making a game plan. Yesterday we took out the carpet. Next weekend we will take out the padding and organize the stuff still in the room better. (We should've done the carpet and padding at the same time. My darlin started the project about a month ago when I was sick. I begged him to stop where he was because I could not help. We moved things around and everything got piled on the exposed padding.) We want to empty the room, put in flooring-not carpet, repair a wall my GRAND DOG decided to eat, and paint it. This is big for me because I am not into this kind of thing. This won't cost very much money. Just time and energy. We are usually super busy during the week, so this will pretty much be a weekend project.

Shopping til I was dropping

Sunday I shopped at Walgreens and Super Target. My 10 Sunday newspapers didn't make this picture! The picture isn't that great, but it shows that I got a boat load of stuff! Cash OOP-$1.38 for $116 worth at Walgreens and $76 at Super T, for a total of $192.
At Walgreens I used $87 in RRs and got back $40 in RRs, so I burned $47 today on 10 Sunday papers, 3 big bags of almonds (for my low carb baking), eggs and the swiffer deal(not a great deal, but needed these items and I have ALOT of RRs).
At Super T I bought $76 worth, after coupons it was $37.55. I paid with some of my gift cards I earned and got back $15 in GCs, for a net of $22.71.
At Super T, I did the Healthy Choice deal- buy 10 items and get a $5 GC. I had the $2 man. coupon for the mixers, so I bought 10 of them. $25 -$20 in coupons = $5. I used $5 in GC to pay for them and got back a $5 GC, so 10 mixers for FREE. I also did the fusion razor deal x2. Cost me $ .49 a razor after gift card.
Sunday's shopping spree cost me $1.38 cash, $47 in RRs and $22.71 in gift card.

Another deal I read about somewhere- One a day vitamins are 33% off this week and if you purchase it with a Contour monitor you get a $5RR for buying over $20 in certain products ( I think it is a monthly RR deal). It works cuz I did it! I bought the monitor $14.99 and some vitamins $5. 68 (I bought one a day men's 100 in bottle) -total was a little over $20 - used my free monitor coupon -didn't have a coupon for my vitamins - so for $5.68 (of course I paid with other RRs) I got my monitor and vitamins.... got back a $10RR and a $5RR!

Giving presents from my stockpile

Last night was beading night. A couple of our members had birthdays, so I gave them a CVS reusable bag with goodies inside from my stockpile. My friends seem to really love this. This really relieves me from walking around a store trying to find an appropriate something for a friend. I can put so much into a bag-everything was free with coupons, RRs, or EBs. I really don't feel like a cheapskate because I put alot of time and energy in getting these deals. I have a major stockpile and I don't miss anything I give away. ( I didn't just run in a store and grab some little something for them. )

Of course I also gave my coupon giving friend a little bag of this month's goodies. She loves her bag every month. She says she uses everything I give her.

Walgreens good deals

I was able to buy my Sunday papers with RRs! I used 2 $10RRs from Bayer monitors. I bought 10 papers, so $0 oop. I'm happy with this deal-using MM RR's to pay for my coupons.

Walgreens steals- I mean deals this week-blink eye drops, zicam cold sore medicine, vitamin water lip balm, scalpicin wipes, joint joice powder, and of course the bayer contour glucose monitors.
CVS deals- Dove mens body wash, colgate toothpaste, and more soy joy bars.

I spent alot of my weekend cooking. I'm enjoying my low carb bread recipe. I'm experimenting with hominy- I have a stockpile of hominy from a sale many months ago.
